Brandon Balthrop was officially charged in Stephens County District Court Monday afternoon in the courtroom of Judge Carl LaMar, with five felony counts. LaMar put the official affidavit on hold for 48 hours and it was released just after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities arrest man after hunt, standoff

A shots fired call in the Blanchard area related to a report of domestic abuse led law enforcement on a manhunt Sunday that ended up in a standoff in Grady County. Cody Taft, 21, Blanchard, was arrested and booked into the McClain County Detention Center on complaints of domestic abuse and shooting with intent to kill.

Stephanio Domanick Elser, 25, of Duncan, was facing charges of first degree rape and burglary in the first degree for an alleged incident that occurred June 6, 2009. Elser initially pled not guilty to the charges but will appear before a judge Tuesday, Aug. 31, with a guilty plea.
